Care instructions for the HyperPole

Netting or Brushing

Never leverage the HyperPole against the pool or spa edge, coping, or any solid objects in or around pool or spa. For example, avoid any leveraging action or impacts on any pool features under the water like swim up bar seats or under water rocks and so on. While the Instead, treat it as you would an aluminum pole, with the added benefit of knowing it will resist wear and tear more effectively.

USE WITH BATTERY POWERED VACUUMS

RipTide, Hammerhead, PowerVac, or Bottom Feeder

When you finish vacuuming, avoid lifting the vacuum out of the water with the pole fully extended, as this can cause unnecessary strain on the pole. Instead, close the pole completely as you pull the vacuum back toward you, lifting it straight up along the wall, gently transitioning it onto the deck without the use of the edge of the pool or spa on the HyperPole. This method minimizes the risk of damage to both the vacuum and your pole and may void the Guarantee.

For any type of vacuum

If the vacuum gets stuck on the pool or spa wall, floor or any objects, first turn the suction of the vacuum down or off rather than forcing the vac head free with the HyperPole. do not lever it out of the position it’s in on any Baja benches, steps handrails or under water features of the pool including the pool and spa edge, coping. Get into another position that doesn’t require the use of the Pole on other objects to free the vacuum. Attempting to pry the vac head off with the HyperPole using the pool coping or any other object can damage to your Pole and void the Guarantee. Always adhere to the recommended user manual of the HyperPole improper use may void the Guarantee.

Telescoping your HyperPole

Telescope the Pole open: completely open the lever of the speed clamp before extending the desired section so it can move freely when extending, closing or adjusting height . To telescope sections of the pole closed: once the clamp gets close to the other clamp, stop the clamps from hitting each other! This is very important, if you let any of the sections of the HyperPole clamps or grip slam, slap or hit closed on the next sections clamp. This will cause premature wear on the clamp and grip and may void the Guarantee.
For truck beds
we recommend cutting a section of 5 feet long (or more depending on pole size) PVC plumbing pipe, ideally in the range of 2 to 3 inches in diameter, as an effective storage solution for your HyperPole in the back of your truck. This provides crucial protection against potential damage from heavy equipment that may be stacked or stored nearby, thereby preventing the pole from being crushed or hit during transport.
Carts with pole holders
When using pole holders on carts, we highly recommend installing a pole guard at the point where the cart's pole holder makes contact with the Outer Tube of your HyperPole. Without proper protection, the continuous pressure from the pole holder can lead to premature degradation of the outer tube, ultimately compromising its structural integrity and may void the Guarantee.

HyperExtensions

To use your HyperExtension with heavy vacuums such as the RipTide, Hammerhead, or PowerVac it is recommended that you connect your extension to your vacuum while on the cart or ground first, then lift and place it into the pool. If you use multiple extensions, insert the next extension while pushing your vacuum out. When finished vacuuming, collapse your pole down as you pull the vacuum back toward you, then remove your pole and each extension one by one. Pull your vacuum straight up along the wall of the pool and onto the deck or back onto the vac cart avoid touching or using the HyperPole on the edge of the pool or spa. When using one or more extensions with a pole, do NOT use the pole in a leveraging action against the coping edge of the pool or spa additionally do not lift your heavy vacuum up through the water with your extension(s) and pole attached.

Speed Clamps

How to properly unlatch and latch the clamp

Begin by opening the lever completely to release the compression clamp. This action allows the next section of the pole to move freely, enabling telescoping in or out as needed the next section should not hit or slap shut on the unlatched clamp, as this improper usage can push the clamp down onto the pole, hindering its operation and may void the Guarantee. To close the Clamp securely, ensure that the lever's metal cylinder hinge the tub screw goes into is properly positioned. If it is not in place, the lever will fail to close effectively. If the compression pinch clamp touches both sides when engaged, this indicates it has reached its maximum capacity. Under such circumstances, the clamp needs replacement. As the lobes on the lever may have worn down from use. When using speed clamps, it is crucial to avoid over-tightening and preventing the clamp from striking any objects, as this can lead to premature wear and reduced functionality and may void the Guarantee.

How to adjust the tightness

You should again open the lever completely to release the compression fully. Using the thumb screw, make minor adjustments incrementally, then close the lever and check to ensure you’ve achieved your desired level of tightness.

Step 2:  Take a 2.5mm allen wrench and carefully remove the two allen screws located in the pinch clamps on the existing grip. The new grip comes with new screws.

Step3:  Gently cut away the existing grip with a razor knife, being particularly cautious to avoid damaging the tube beneath.

Step 4:  You can either use a nylon or rubber hammer to tap the grip free or employ a twisting motion to pry it off—whichever method you prefer. After the grip is removed, wipe the tube clean

Step 5: Wipe the tube clean, you are now ready to install the new grip.

Installation of new grip

Step 1: Before attaching the new grip, it can be beneficial to apply a lubricant such as Windex or soapy water to the tube, which will help the grip slide on more easily.

Step 2:  Grab the new grip set aside the plug and screws, Position the grip on the tube and tap lightly until it sits flush with the end of the tube.

Step 3: Take the new screws and secure the grip it in place by installing the new 2.5mm allen screws, taking care not to over-tighten, as this can strip the screws.

Step 4: Install the 2.5mm allen screws into the pinch clamps on the grip be careful not to over tighten and strip the screws.

Step 5: Lubricate the plug with soapy water or Windex for ease of installation, place it evenly where the grip and tube meet flush at the end of the most inner tube of the pole, and gently tap with a nylon or rubber hammer until it is fully seated.

Pole Guard

Package Contains

The Pole Guard kit includes a 20” length of glue-lined double wall heat shrink material. You can customize it by cutting it into smaller segments or opting for a combination of sizes. For extra durability, overlap segments for 2-3 layers of heat shrink.

Placement

For best results, position the pole guard at the end of the metal tool end, extending it up the lower pole section. This protects against abrasion, especially where the Hyper pole meets the coping, truck beds and specific pole holders for any and all types of carts. Proper placement prolongs equipment life.

Installation

To install, place the guard at your desired spot on the HyperPole. Use a heat gun, starting at one end and rotating the pole to evenly heat the guard. Watch as it shrinks and adheres tightly. Ensure even heating for a secure fit. See video link : ( soon to come)

Removal of Pole Guard

To remove the guard, score its surface and peel it off. Clean the pole with a solvent like Goo Gone or Windex to remove any leftover adhesive. Wipe the area with a small amount of rubbing alcohol and let it dry before applying a new pole guard for optimal adhesion.
Other applications
These can be used on any and all types of swimming pool service poles on the market.
